While Steph Curry has helped carry the Golden State Warriors, Jordan Poole has filled in nicely while the seven-time All-Star guard is getting a breather on the bench.
Over his last six games, the second-year guard is averaging 14.3 points on 38.6% shooting from the floor and 36.6% from beyond the arc in 22.9 minutes per contest. Poole has scored in double figures in six of his last eight games with a pair of contests scoring 21 and 22 points to lead the second unit.
On Friday night against the Denver Nuggets, Poole followed Curry’s footsteps with a unique celebration after hitting a jumper from beyond the arc. With seconds ticking away in the third quarter, Poole drilled a corner triple at the buzzer. Following his shot swishing through the net, Poole pulled out the shimmy celebration.
