As Steph Curry tacked on another 32 point performance to lead the Golden State Warriors past the Denver Nuggets on Friday night, Draymond Green controlled the game as a passer.
The three-time All-Star matched his career-high with 19 assists against the Nuggets in 33 minutes. While Green recorded an impressive night passing the ball, he only scored two points on 1-of-3 shooting from the floor. Despite his quiet shooting, Green still registered a double-double with 12 rebounds to go along with his career night in assists.

Green tallied 19 assists to surpass his previous career-high earlier in the season in a Warriors’ victory over the Charlotte Hornets.
With 21 assists against the Indiana Pacers in March, Washington’s Russell Westbrook is the only player to record more assist in a single game than Green in the 2020-21 season. Luka Doncic, Chris Paul and Kyle Lowry have also dished out 19 assists in a game. Yet, Green is the only player to do it twice.

Green has notched 15 or more assists six times in the 2020-21 campaign. The three-time champion has recorded double-figures in assists in 19 games this season.
Along with 6.6 points per game on 41.7% shooting from the field, Green is averaging 8.7 assists per contest. Green is tied for fifth in the NBA in assists per game with Denver’s Nikola Jokic.
