The No. 15 Florida Gators (26-11, 9-6 SEC) enter the three-game weekend series with its conference rivals the Auburn Tigers (16-18, 2-13 SEC) riding a six-game winning streak, including a four-game run against SEC foes. UF swept last weekend’s series against the Missouri Tigers at home and looks to replicate those results on the road this time around.
The Tigers have struggled mightily this season in conference play, with its only two victories coming against the Texas A&M Aggies back on February 28 and the Alabama Crimson Tide on April 16. Interestingly, the latter kicked off a stretch of improved play that saw Auburn go 3-3, including a pair of wins entering this weekend’s series.
Historically, AU holds the upper hand with a 133-117-2 all-time record including a 78-45-1 record at home. The two teams have not met since UF’s 2018 Super Regional series win in Gainesville and the Gators have won five of the past seven meetings. Despite the discrepancy in the all-time record, Florida has a 39-21 lead since 1996.
