Though All-NBA small forward Jayson Tatum may have had one of his better games of the season against an undermanned Brooklyn Nets squad Friday night, it wasn’t enough to get past the Eastern Conference’s top team, the Celtics falling 109 – 104 on the road.
Still, it was an outing worthy of a second look, with the St. Louis native putting up 38 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in 39 minutes of game time, leading all players in scoring on the night. Tatum shot an efficient 14-of-27 from the floor overall and a sizzling 6-of-12 from beyond the arc while going less impressive 4-of-7 from the line.
It was the Duke product’s fourth-highest scoring game this season.
