Vols’ signee Angus Pence hits grand slam for Farragut.

Since returning to Farragut High School’s lineup, University of Tennessee baseball signee Angus Pence has provided offensive production.

Pence, a senior pitcher and infielder for the Admirals, had a grand slam Friday night in Farragut’s, 10-2, victory over Greeneville at John Heatherly Field.

Pence, who was injured on April 6 in the Admirals’ 13-12 District 4-AAA loss to rival Hardin Valley Academy, returned for Farragut on Tuesday.

He pitched two innings of relief in the team’s 8-2 league win over Lenoir City. Pence gave up two runs, four hits, one walk, while striking out four Panthers.

On Wednesday in a, 7-6, win over William Blount, Pence went 2-for-3 and drove in three runs for Farragut (25-2, 11-1 District 4-AAA).
