Dabo Swinney gets booed at NBA game

They’re not woo-ing…

Love him or hate him, there are few greater characters in college football than Dabo Swinney.

He’s got a one-of-a-kind personality, is more than a little bit of a charmer, and he happens to win a lot of football games every year.

Swinney and Clemson have become fringe rivals with Notre Dame in recent years as the two have met four times since 2015 with the Tigers holding a 3-1 series advantage in that time.

All of that said, Dabo attending a basketball game at the closest NBA arena to Clemson, South Carolina didn’t protect him from fans booing his introduction.

I haven’t been able to find a video of the incident while searching online so who knows just how loud those boos actually were, but according to Steve Reed of the Associated Press, they were plenty audible.

Swinney has directed Clemson to 10-straight seasons of winning 10 or more games and has won a pair of national championships in that time.

As loud as some may boo, I don’t think it’s going to sting him too badly.
