One former University of Tennessee basketball player was in action Sunday night and his team lost at home.
Former Volunteer Josh Richardson scored seven points, pulled down two rebounds and dished out one assist for the Mavericks in their 121-107 loss to Sacramento at American Airlines Center in Dallas.
Richardson started and played 27 minutes for the Mavericks (30-26), who dropped its second consecutive game.
He was 3-for-9 from the floor and went 1-for-5 from beyond the 3-point arc against the Kings (23-34).
The Mavericks, who have now lost four of their last five games, trailed by 15 points at halftime as their defense surrendered 45 points in the second quarter.
