Kevin Durant exits game against Miami Heat due to thigh contusion

Kevin Durant left Sunday’s game early in the first quarter with a thigh injury.

In a game where Bam Adebayo stole the show, Nets fans suffered a scare early in the game when Kevin Durant left the game with a thigh injury. Durant collided with Trevor Ariza and was diagnosed with a left thigh contusion, per Nets PR. The occurrence happened in the first quarter when the two-time NBA Champion was 3-3 from the field with 8 points, nearing a great game of his own.

Durant had just missed 23 games following a hamstring injury following back to February 13th. Given Durant’s injury history and the Nets’ standing in the East, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Nets were cautious with Durant’s timeline to return.
