Steph Curry granted a reporter’s request for a jet celebration after seeing a tweet at halftime

Steph Curry seems to be having a lot of fun.

Steph Curry is one of the most fun players in the NBA. It’s not because he’s extremely good at basketball — which, of course, he is. But it’s because it just doesn’t seem like he takes things too seriously. He has real fun with the game.

Case in point: During the Warriors’ game against the Cavaliers, Keirth Burke of NBC Sports Bay Area made a request to Curry at halftime for him to do an airplane celebration.

You know how it goes. The player hits a 3-point shot and then spreads their wings like an airplane as they get back on the other end of the floor.

It was a random request at halftime made via Twitter, so no one actually knew if Curry saw the tweet. She asked if he’d consider running down the court with his arms out like a “Stepherson Airplane.”

Low and behold, in the 4th quarter with the game in hand Curry busts out the plane celebration.

So awesome. Burke asked Curry about the celebration in his postgame press conference.

“Burke: Why the Airplane celebration?

Curry: You know exactly why.

Burke: I’m worried you may have opened Pandora’s box.

Curry: Possibly. We’ve got good mojo going right now. I just needed to give myself an opportunity to pull it out because I didn’t do anything to do that in the first half.”

Just incredible. That’s what fun on the basketball court looks like.
