Los Angeles enters on a seven-game win streak (5-1-1 against the spread) and stole a win Wednesday at the Detroit Pistons 100-98, but pushed as 2-point favorites without four starters including Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
Philadelphia has won three in a row and four of its past five games (3-2 ATS) with the latest being a 123-117 victory over the James Harden-and Kevin Durant-less Brooklyn Nets Wednesday.
The Sixers lost ATS after the Nets “snuck in the backdoor” by coming back from a 22-point deficit to cover as 9-point underdogs.
The Clippers beat the Sixers 122-112 and covered as 5.5-point home favorites in their first meeting this season, but Philly was without All-Star big Joel Embiid.

PASS with a “lean” to the 76ers (-150) because it’s on the fringe of my price range and would entertain putting Philly’s money line into a parlay with another similarly priced favorite.

Against the spread (ATS)
GIMME 76ERS -3 (-110) for 1.25 units pending the final injury report because each team has stars who could be sat for load management purposes.
However, these teams are neck-and-neck in midrange field goal attempt rate—Philly ranks fifth and LA sixth—but the Sixers have the best defensive field goal percentage on midrange attempts while the Clippers are ranked 24th, according to CleaningTheGlass.com.
Another area of concern for the Clippers is their rim defense, which ranks 20th in defensive field goal percentage of attempts at the bucket, especially if Embiid plays tonight.
Also, Embiid didn’t play in the previous, and he has dominated Clippers big Ivica Zubac in their two meetings; Embiid is outscoring Zubac 27.0-7.0 points per game and out-rebounding him 10.0-5.0 in those contests.
Over/Under (O/U)
The Clippers-76ers total opened at 227.5 but has been steamed down by the market and making the play OVER 220.5 (-110) for a half-unit.
That’s just too much line movement for two of the best offenses in the Association and with four All-NBA guys on the floor.
Furthermore, the market has incorrectly assumed the Clippers are a defensive team when they are actually more of an offensive squad – hence LA’s 32-24 -1 O/U record this season.
