Liam Spence has been named to the 43rd annual Golden Spikes Award midseason watch list by USA Baseball.
Spence, a senior shortstop for the Volunteers, was one of 45 players named to the list, which includes the nation’s top amateur baseball players from both the college and high school ranks.
The Southeastern Conference led all college conferences as it had nine players to make the list.
Fellow SEC players joining Spence on the list include: Will Bednar (Mississippi State); Wes Clarke (South Carolina); Dylan Crews (LSU); Dominic Keegan (Vanderbilt); Jake Leiter (Vanderbilt); Tommy Mace (Florida); Kumar Rocker (Vanderbilt) and Landon Sims (Mississippi State).
