Sixers big man Dwight Howard out vs. Nets due to left knee soreness

Philadelphia 76ers big man Dwight Howard is out for Wednesday’s matchup with the Brooklyn Nets due to left knee soreness.

There will be a lot of players out for Wednesday’s highly anticipated matchup between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets will be missing superstars Kevin Durant and James Harden as well as Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge and now the Sixers will be without a key piece.

Philadelphia will be missing backup big man Dwight Howard who is a later scratch due to left knee soreness. This will be Howard’s first missed game this season as he has kept himself in absolutely great shape and he is averaging 6.8 points and 8.3 rebounds off their bench backing up Joel Embiid.

The Sixers will have new addition Anthony Tolliver available in this game and considering how shorthanded the Nets are and with Howard now out for this game, this now offers a chance for Tolliver to maybe get some playing time. He is on a 10-day contract so he will be looking for any opportunity right now.
