Nets reaction: The Nets demolish the Minnesota Timberwolves

The Nets rolled over the Timberwolves on Tuesday.

Despite a postponement and an early tipoff in Minnesota on Tuesday, the Nets built a colossal lead early and never looked back. Brooklyn came out really strong, leading by as many as 25, thanks to Kevin Durant and Joe Harris.

Harris was up to 18 points (4 3PM) at halftime and Durant himself added 14 points. Landry Shamet joined the party with 11 points of his own (3 3PM) along with Bruce Brown who had 9 points and 8 rebounds, flirting with a double double.

The Timberwolves came out the gates cold, but a bright spot for them was D’Angelo Russell. Russell scored 15 points on 5-9 shooting in the first half. He had 13 points in only five minutes of the first quarter.

In the second half, it was just a continuation of Brooklyn’s wrath. The largest lead became 42, which was the biggest lead for Brooklyn in a game this season, and the Nets had contributions from all across the board, although they did lose Chris Chiozza who is suffering from a right hand injury.

Kevin Durant (31 PTS), Joe Harris (23 PTS), Landry Shamet (19 PTS), DeAndre Jordan (13 PTS, 7 REBS), and Bruce Brown (9 PTS, 12 REBS) all had great games. The squad also finished with a total of 31 assists.
