Henry Cejudo says ‘it’s going down’ with Floyd Mayweather. Believe that?

Floyd Mayweather teased that he’s working on a “huge deal” with Dana White – but a fight with “Triple C”?

UFC president Dana White has teased working with [autotag]Floyd Mayweather[/autotag] for the past few years. What they might have in mind is anybody’s guess since nothing has seemed close to coming to fruition, at least publicly.

The new thing floating out there at the moment is a potential fight between Mayweather and [autotag]Henry Cejudo[/autotag] after the former UFC double champion tweeted a Photoshopped image of himself facing off with Mayweather and declaring “It’s going down!”

Are we really supposed to believe this?

What’s fueling this – if only a little bit – is the fact that White and Mayweather were recently seen together. Earlier this week, White shared a photo on social media of himself after a meeting with Mayweather and Rizin FF president Nobuyuki Sakakibara, with whom Mayweather has done business before.

Mayweather also shared the same photo and included in his caption that the three of them are working on “a huge deal.”

So what does this all mean? Well, nothing at the moment. But in the world of combat sports, you know anything is possible.

Cejudo has been retired since May 2020 after defending his bantamweight title against Dominick Cruz at UFC 249. Of course, “Triple C” keeps talking about coming back on the regular, and we’re certain a boxing match vs. Mayweather would do the trick. As for Mayweather, he also has wanted to get back in the ring and even signed on to fight Logan Paul in an exhibition earlier this year before it fell off.

“Money” Mayweather vs. “Triple C,” though? Probably shouldn’t hold your breath.
