On Friday, the Los Angeles Clippers announced that they signed rookie Malik Fitts to a 10-day contract after a strong stint in the NBA G League with the Agua Caliente Clippers.
Fitts, who went undrafted out of Saint Mary’s last year, averaged 11.1 points, four rebounds and 1.4 assists in 14 games with Agua Caliente this season. He converted on 46.8% of his shot attempts from the field and 34.8% from 3-point range.
The 23-year-old signed with the Clippers after going undrafted and spent training camp with the team before joining Agua Caliente. He appeared in two preseason games with Los Angeles, totaling three rebounds in seven minutes.

Fitts will now have an opportunity to earn a place on the Clippers with his 10-day contract. He believes that his ability to shoot and guard multiple positions can be enough to stick around in the NBA and he will now have a chance to prove that with the Clippers.
