Drew Pember transfers to UNC Asheville.

A former University of Tennessee basketball player has announced where he will continue his collegiate career.

Drew Pember, a 6-foot-10, 190-pound post player announced on Wednesday that he has committed to UNC Asheville.

He entered the NCAA transfer portal following the Volunteers’ 2020-21 season, which saw them finish 18-9 and lose during the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Last season, Pember appeared in 10 games for Tennessee and averaged less than three minutes per game.

With the Bulldogs, Pember will be reunited with high school teammate Trent Stephney.

Together, the duo, along with Ques Glover, led Knoxville’s Bearden High School to the 2019 TSSAA Class AAA State Championship.

Glover, who spent two seasons with Florida, has also entered the transfer portal. He has yet to announce his destination.
