The Toronto Raptors (20-30) are coming off a buzzer-beater win Monday night and will play host to the Los Angeles Lakers (31-19) Tuesday. Tip-off at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla., will be at 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Lakers-Raptors odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.
The Raptors have won back-to-back games after losing seven of eight. They trailed the Washington Wizards by a point on their final possession Monday but SG Gary Trent Jr. hit a 3-pointer as time expired. Toronto came up short of covering the 5.5-point spread as a home favorite.
The injury-ravaged Lakers have been able to handle inferior opponents of late while going 3-2 across their last five games. The two losses were against the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Clippers, with the Clips handing them a 104-86 smackdown Sunday.

Lakers at Raptors: Odds, lines, predictions and picks
Prediction
Lakers 112, Raptors 108
Money line (ML)
The LAKERS (+110) shouldn’t be underdogs against a 20-30 team on the second half of a back-to-back. Even without James and Davis, they were able to get past the Cleveland Cavaliers (100-86), Orlando Magic (96-93) and upstart Sacramento Kings (115-94).
Toronto could get VanVleet back in the lineup Tuesday but it’s a tall order for him to do enough to change the tide of a Raptors team that’s a league-worst 1-9 on the second half of back-to-backs this season.

Against the spread (ATS)
Even while shorthanded, the Raptors still have the 3-point shooting to keep things close for some late-game heroics.
As such, we need to back the LAKERS +2.5 (-110) as insurance against the backdoor money line win the Raptors pulled off Monday.
Over/Under (O/U)
As further support for our money line pick of the Lakers, they’re sixth on the season in 3-point defense with opponents hitting at a rate of just 35.3%. They still have a nearly fully healthy backcourt and should be able to contain the likes of Trent and potentially VanVleet.
Back the UNDER 215.5 (-110). The Lakers have fallen shy of the number in six straight games and the Raptors have played to three straight Unders.
