The New Orleans Pelicans could be down three starters once again on Sunday as they take on the Rockets. The trio of Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball and Zion Williamson are all listed as questionable.
Ball has missed the most time of the three with a strained right hip flexor. Heading into Sunday, Ball has missed the Pelicans last seven games. However, he appears to be nearing a return.
Ingram and Williamson missed New Orleans’ last two games on Thursday and Friday, the former with a toe injury on his right foot and the latter with a sprained thumb.
The availability of the trio is of more importance with Josh Hart likely to miss the rest of the season after tearing the UCL in his thumb during Thursday’s loss to the Magic.
The Pelicans will see Isaiah Thomas make his debut after signing a 10-day contract with the team. With the Pelicans heavily short-handed due to the injuries, Thomas will be valuable as an extra ballhandler if nothing else.
