The New Orleans Pelicans were without Lonzo Ball for a fourth game running on Saturday against the Dallas Mavericks. Ball continues to be sidelined with a right hip flexor strain, an injury that has kept him out for the last week.

In his absence, the Pelicans are 2-1 with wins at the start of the week against Denver and the Lakers before falling on Friday late against the Nuggets.

Ball’s hip flexor strain prevented him from finishing practice on Thursday. The Pelicans play just once over the next four days – on Tuesday in Boston – affording Ball an extended period to recover as New Orleans enters the home stretch of their race at the play-in tournament.
