Wow. WOW. WOW!!!!!!!
It didn’t seem possible or even necessary for the Brooklyn Nets to add yet another current or former All-Star after they traded for James Harden and signed Blake Griffin after the Detroit Pistons bought him out.
But … nope.
LaMarcus Aldridge — who was bought out by the San Antonio Spurs — will sign with the Nets instead of the Miami Heat, as expected.
That’s right: the Nets have Harden, Griffin, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, DeAndre Jordan and now Aldridge, which would be an awe-inspiring starting lineup (and a reserve) even in 2021 with a few of those players not in their primes anymore. Which brings us to the stat that everyone’s pointing out on Saturday:
The star-power on the Nets is INSANE 🤯
Kevin Durant 11x All-Star
James Harden 9x All-Star
Kyrie Irving 7x All-Star
LaMarcus Aldridge 7x All-Star
Blake Griffin 6x All-Star
DeAndre Jordan 1x All-Star pic.twitter.com/x1cVBAvCGf— ClutchPoints (@ClutchPointsApp) March 27, 2021
After landing LaMarcus Aldridge, the Brooklyn Nets now have a combined 41 All-Star appearances and 32 All-NBA selections. 😳
Aldridge joins Kevin Durant, James Harden, Kyrie Irving, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan as Nets players who have made an All-Star team and All-NBA team.

Forty-one All-Star appearances! This team was already good enough to contend. Now? They’ve got an even deeper bench and some insurance for any of their stars in case of further injury. Look out.
