If you have a soft spot in your heart for rookie Aaron Nesmith as a Boston Celtic, it might be wise to steel it a bit for what could be coming in the next several hours.
According to Yahoo Sports’ Keith Smith, Nesmith is “drawing a good deal more interest from opposing teams than Romeo Langford,” with Smith hearing similar opinions from teams not involved in trade talks. “That tracks,” Smith was reportedly told. “Langford is such an unknown. That goes back to the draft. Nothing has changed since then.” Nesmith hasn’t played a lot of minutes this season to be sure, but he has looked like a solid prospect.
Those of us who were paying attention to Langford’s play in the bubble might feel that the Indiana native is at least as much of a prospect based on his excellent defense in those games, but recency bias seems to rule the day in this market.

It seems very likely one of the two will be in a new uniform should the Celtics pull off any deal of note.
And with the move by the Orlando Magic to deal Nikola Vucevic to the Chicago Bulls, it seems increasingly likely that Boston could land Aaron Gordon.
