The New Patriots signed defensive lineman Lawrence Guy to a four-year contract on Wednesday, according to multiple reports. In doing so, they have brought yet another familiar face back to the organization.
Last season, Guy recorded 57 tackles and two sacks in 14 games played. He has recorded 235 tackles and seven sacks over a New England career that has spanned four years to this point.
His best game in 2020 came against the New York Jets in the season finale. He recorded five tackles in played his part in a 28-14 win.
With Guy returning to the fold, the Patriots will now have additional firepower on a defensive line that has seen a bit of a makeover this offseason.
Free-agent DT Lawrence Guy and the Patriots are working on finalizing a four-year deal for Guy to remain in New England — pending a physical — per sources.

In addition to some big-name signings, adding defensive linemen Davon Godchaux and Henry Anderson, the Patriots have also taken care of retaining familiar faces this offseason. This should help the Patriots have a balanced roster.
