The Eagles acquired Riley in a trade one-week after losing to the Atlanta Falcons.
Philadelphia sent safety Jonathan Cyprien and 2020 seventh-round pick to Atlanta for Riley and a sixth-round pick.
In 25 games with the Eagles, Riley logged 55 tackles, an interception, and a forced fumble, while earning special teams captain honors and the respect of his teammates.
Philadelphia currently has Alex Singleton, T.J. Edwards, Davion Taylor, Shaun Bradley, Rashad Smith, and Joe Bachie under contract at the linebacker position.
