With 11 years under his belt with the franchise, Steph Curry’s name is starting to be inked across the Golden State Warriors record books. While the sharpshooter already leads the franchise in 3-pointers and free throw percentage, Curry added another franchise lead to his resume.
After completing a dime to Kelly Oubre Jr. in the third quarter against the Los Angeles Lakers, Curry slid past Guy Rodgers for the franchise’s all-time lead in assists. Prior to Curry’s assists against the defending champion Lakers, 4855 assists from Rodgers helped him hold the title of assist leader for 55 years.

Following his pair of assists against the Lakers, Curry is totaling 4856 over his career. During his run in the association, the two-time Most Valuable Player is averaging 6.6 assists per contest. Over the 2020-21 campaign, Curry is averaging 6.3 assists over 37 games in the season.
If Curry can keep a similar pace, the seven-time All-Star will likely take over a flurry of different records for the Warriors, including a chance at catching Wilt Chamberlain for the all-time scoring lead. Curry only trails Chamberlain by 279 points.
