The 9-seed St. Bonaventure Bonnies (16-4) tangle with the 8-seed LSU Tigers (18-9) in an NCAA East Region First Round Game on Saturday, March 20. The matinee contest (1:45 p.m. ET) will be held at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana and is airing on TNT.

The Tigers placed third in the SEC regular-season standings and then won a pair of games in the SEC Tournament. LSU enters the national brackets having won four of its last five games. The Baton Rouge Bengals have scored 82.1 points per game (second in the SEC).
LSU plays a fast style of ball, but its offense is also diverse and buoyed by strong shooting percentages from the paint, the perimeter, and the foul line. Notably, the Tigers went 39.4% from three in SEC tourney games against Alabama and Arkansas.
Louisiana State’s top player is freshman G Cameron Thomas. Thomas is the SEC’s leading scorer, at 22.6 PPG. He gets to the line frequently and is an 88.0% free-throw shooter.
