According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker Bud Dupree is signing a contract with the Tennessee Titans.
Details of the contract have not yet been disclosed.
Dupree was the Steelers first-round pick back in 2015 out of the University of Kentucky. For Dupree’s first four seasons, Dupree struggled to get his technique up to par with his athleticism. After only accumulating 19.5 sacks in his first four seasons, Dupree had 19.5 over the last two.
2020 was cut short for Dupree after he tore his ACL. He was on pace for a career-high in sacks with eight in just 11 games.
Meanwhile, the Steelers will now usher in the Alex Highsmith era as the second-year player will try to fill the shoes of Dupree as the team’s other pass rusher opposite T.J. Watt.
The #Titans are in fact signing former #Steelers pass-rusher Bud Dupree, sources tell me and @TomPelissero. Another top edge off the market.
