Former Tennessee Titans wide receiver Corey Davis has found a new home in the Big Apple with the New York Jets.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Davis has agreed to terms on a three-year, $37.5 million deal with Gang Green that includes $27 million in guaranteed money.
And so ends Davis’ tenure in Nashville.
While there was once some hope that Davis would return to the Titans this offseason, that was dashed after ESPN’s Dianna Russini reported that neither Davis, nor tight end Jonnu Smith, would return to Tennessee in 2021.
As it turns out, Davis is now with the Jets and Smith has agreed to terms with the New England Patriots, with both players receiving more than was expected.
The Titans could not afford both Jonnu Smith and Corey Davis. Their market turned out to be significantly more than anything Tenn could do. Now the 2 become division rivals. #Patriots #Jets

Spotrac estimated Davis’ market value at $9.8 million, but he ends up receiving an annual average of $12.5 million instead, a price that was ultimately more than the Titans could afford by a mile.
With Davis officially gone, the Titans will have big shoes to fill at their No. 2 receiver spot opposite A.J. Brown. The former No. 5 overall pick was Tennessee’s second-leading receiver in 2020 and will be missed.
Up until this point, the only player the Titans have agreed to terms with since the legal tampering period began on Monday is defensive lineman Denico Autry. General manager Jon Robinson has some work to do on offense.
