On Steph Curry’s 33rd birthday, Draymond Green gifted his teammate a triple-double performance to help push the Golden State Warriors past the Western Conference-leading Utah Jazz, 131-119.

Riding a season-high four-game losing streak, Green was all over the floor, tallying 11 points on 5-of-10 shooting with 12 assists and 12 rebounds in this 36 minutes. Green added four steals on the defensive side of the floor.

Despite Donovan Mitchell and the Jazz keeping it close throughout Sunday’s matinee, Green’s effort paired with Steph Curry’s fierce scoring and a solid outing from the second unit helped the Warriors hold on at Chase Center.

Happy 33rd birthday to Steph Curry

After receiving a new pair of custom-designed kicks for his birthday from his children, Curry torched the Jazz for a game-high 32 points on 10-of-20 shooting from the floor. After only hitting one triple against the Los Angles Clippers on Thursday, Curry found his rhythm from deep, drilling six triples on nine attempts from beyond the arc, including one bucket that led to a four-point play.

Jordan Poole and James Wiseman off the bench

Against one of the top bench groups in the NBA, Golden State’s second unit rose to the occasion on Sunday afternoon.

Jordan Poole continued to provide a spark off the bench since coming from the G League Orlando bubble, scoring 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field with a trio of 3-pointers. Along with his barrage of buckets, Poole helped create as a playmaker, dropping three dimes in 22 minutes off the bench.

Adding with Golden State’s youth movement off the bench, rookie James Wiseman dropped 16 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field with four boards and a block in 23 minutes for Steve Kerr.

During their previous signature wins against potential playoff competition, the Warriors have usually had a poor start, forcing a comeback effort. However, against the Jazz on Sunday, Golden State’s starting rotation opened up strong.

Behind 14 first-quarter points from Steph Curry, the Warriors built an 11 point lead in the opening 12 minutes against the Jazz. Golden State’s early advantage helped pace the Jazz’s runs throughout the contest.
