The LSU Tigers finally open play in the SEC Tournament on Friday. Now, the Tigers know who they will be playing.
The No. 6 seeded Ole Miss Rebels defeated 11th-seeded South Carolina, 76-59, to advance to the SEC Tournament quarterfinals on Friday.
This will be the second meeting of the season between LSU and Ole Miss. The Tigers defeated the Rebels, 75-61, back in January.
The SEC had announced makeup games for several teams to balance out the league schedule, and the two teams were scheduled to meet again in February. However, inclement weather in the southern region of the United States forced the cancellation of the rematch.
LSU and Ole Miss will play in the late game on Friday, approximately 25 minutes after the completion of Missouri and Arkansas.
In the top half of the bracket, No. 1 Alabama will play No. 9 Mississippi State in the first game on Friday. No. 5 Florida meets No. 4 Tennessee in the second game.
