Alabama basketball continues their hot streak throughout the 2020-2021 postseason. After winning the SEC regular season title and the SEC Tournament championship, the Crimson Tide will head into March Madness.
Following Alabama’s one-point win over LSU for the tournament title, Nate Oats was asked by ESPN’s Marty Smith if the University of Alabama was turning into a basketball school.
Given the decades of success and 18 national championships in football, most would likely say Alabama is a football school.
The answer Alabama men’s basketball head coach Nate Oats gave may have surprised some.
He claimed that the University of Alabama was not a football school or a basketball school, it is a ‘Championship School.’
