[autotag]Belal Muhammad[/autotag] isn’t happy with the way [autotag]Leon Edwards[/autotag] carried himself after their UFC Fight Night 187 main event ended in a no contest.

An errant finger from Edwards (18-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC) poked him in the eye early in Round 2 and Muhammad (18-3 MMA, 9-3 UFC) was deemed unable to continue. The fight was waved off.

Shortly thereafter, Edwards spoke to reporters and voiced his opinion that a title shot will be next for him, despite the no contest outcome against Muhammad. The fight was a placeholder according to Edwards, who said he accepted because Muhammad was the only one willing to fight him.

“No, I don’t feel a need to fight him again,” Edwards told MMA Junkie at the post-fight news conference. “I only fought him because all the other guys turned me down. The writing was on the wall and I was winning the fight clearly. I don’t feel I need to fight him again. I need to move forward.”

On Sunday, Muhammad posted on Twitter to dispel the notion Edwards will be next for UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. He criticized Edwards’ comments and called for a rematch.
