It’s all over for P.J. Tucker and the Houston Rockets.
It was already presumed the versatile veteran forward would be dealt by the franchise at the upcoming NBA trade deadline given their rebuild, his value and his expiring contract, but on Thursday, it basically became official.
Tucker didn’t play against the Sacramento Kings and head coach Stephen Silas said the team will figure out the next steps.
So who should deal for the 35-year-old who can fit in as a small-ball big man, hit threes and defend? Le’s run through a few contenders (and yes, many of them will cross over with those who could consider LaMarcus Aldridge, which makes sense, right?).
PJ Tucker and the Rockets agreed he will no longer be with the team anymore and are working to find a resolution, coach Stephen Silas says tonight.
