The Golden State Warriors (19-18) and Los Angeles Clippers (24-14) tip-off the second half of their seasons Thursday at the Staples Center. The game is scheduled for a 10 p.m. ET start. Below, we analyze the Warriors-Clippers odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.
Golden State dropped three straight (0-3 ATS) before the All-Star break, all against winning Western Conference teams, however.
The Clippers also wrapped up their first half of the season with a 3-game losing skid and lost four of their previous five games (1-4 ATS).
These teams split a back-to-back earlier this season from Jan. 6-8 with the Warriors winning the last meeting.
The Warriors’ victory snapped a 4-game losing streak to the Clippers, which started when LA acquired Kawhi Leonard and Paul George last offseason.

PASS because even though I expect Los Angeles to win comfortably, I’ll almost never bet an NBA regular-season money line favorite at -160 or greater.

Against the spread (ATS)
The Clippers play much better against good defenses (the Warriors are 6th in defensive rating) than Golden State does against top-10 offenses (LA is 3rd in offensive rating).
According to CleaningTheGlass.com, the Warriors are 4-10 overall with the 28th-ranked net efficiency and is 26th in spread differential (minus-4.3 points) vs. top-10 offenses this season.
Whereas LA is 10-5 overall and 9th in net efficiency vs. top-10 defenses and the Warriors are 4-8 ATS as a road underdog with a minus-5.4-point ATS margin.
BET CLIPPERS -7.5 (-105) for 1 unit.
Over/Under (O/U)
Wait for the final injury report before betting this game to see the statuses of Oubre and Draymond because Golden State matches up really well defensively against LA if those guys are in the lineup.
The Clippers take the 6th-highest rate of mid-range shots and the Warriors have the 2nd-best defensive mid-range shooting percentage (according to CleaningTheGlass.com).
Furthermore, LA plays at the 4th-slowest pace in the Association, which is an optimal tempo for the Clippers since Golden State has the 2nd-fastest pace and will need to connect on transition threes to steal or cover this game.
TAKE the UNDER 231.5 (-110) for 1 unit.
