For 2022 West Bloomfield (MI) four-star athlete Dillon Tatum, Michigan holds a lot of intrigue.
Not only has he been courted by the Wolverines for some time, but his head coach for three years, Ron Bellamy, is now the safeties coach in Ann Arbor — which just so happens to be the position that Michigan is courting Tatum. The Wolverines made the cut for him back on Jan. 1, so when he was set to pare down his list, it was a seeming inevitability that the maize and blue would make the cut once again.
That was the case, with Tatum having cut his list down to just four, with Michigan, Michigan State, Baylor and Notre Dame being his finalists.

Michigan appears to be the team to beat for Tatum, but MSU has been making an extra special effort in trying to lure him to East Lansing. Back in January, Tatum told WolverinesWire that there was no school pushing harder for his services. However, since then, with the hire of Bellamy, it’s all but assured that the maize and blue will remain in contention until he makes his verbal commitment.
There are eight 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions in for Tatum at the moment, with all eight indicating he’ll likely become a Wolverine.
