Kevin Garnett confirms that he will not buy the Minnesota Timberwolves

Garnett and his ownership group are no longer in the running

The best player in Minnesota Timberwolves history is no longer in the running to buy the franchise. Former Minnesota and Boston Celtics legend Kevin Garnett confirmed that he and his group were no longer in the process of trying to acquire the team from current owner Glen Taylor.

Garnett took to Instagram to let the public know about the current situation. The NBA champion’s longstanding feud with Taylor clearly impacted his attempt to buy the team:

“Sooo just got the news that this process in trying to acquire the TWOLVES IS OVER for me and my group…,” Garnett posted in his Instagram story on Thursday. “Thx Glen for being yourself n what I Kno you to be!!! GOOD LUCK n aww the best with WHAT WE BUILT.”

Garnett also added that he would be interested in other ownership opportunities if they arise. This is certainly not the last we have heard from the former Celtic legend when it comes to buying an NBA team.
