Alright, everybody just take a second and stop writing tweets at Chris Simms.
Simms, as you may know, works for NBC Sports and ranks quarterbacks every year ahead of the NFL draft. And this year? He’s got quite a take that has NFL fans abuzz because he ranks BYU’s Zach Wilson ahead of Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence, and has Ohio State’s Justin Fields No. 5 overall, behind fourth-ranked Texas A&M Kellen Mond, whose name was trending on Twitter due to Simms’ list.
But here’s the thing: Simms has a good history of being right about quarterbacks, at least recently.
First, here’s his list:

OK. But here was his 2020 list:
1. Joe Burrow
2. Justin Herbert
3. Jordan Love
4. Tua Tagovailoa
5. Jacob Eason
Nailed it, it seems. Let’s go back to 2018!

Boom. So maybe he’s right about Wilson > T-Law?
