Michigan State picked up a pair of defensive backs through the transfer portal last week, but the Spartans aren’t done in trying to add to their secondary.
Michigan State is reportedly already showing interest in former Texas Tech defensive back Dequanteous Watts, who entered his name into the transfer portal on Tuesday morning. According to Rivals, Watts has already received an offer from Liberty and received interest from Minnesota, UCF, Tennessee, Tulane, Old Dominion and Western Kentucky.

Watts, who is from Atlanta, didn’t appear in any games this past season for the Red Raiders after redshirting his freshman season in 2019.
Watts was ranked as a three-star prospect coming out of high school. Watts chose Texas Tech over offers from numerous power five programs, including Indiana, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and West Virginia.
