LSU in the mix for 2022 5-star OL

LSU is among the options for one of the nation’s strongest prospects.

LSU is very much in consideration for five-star offensive lineman Devon Campbell — even if it didn’t appear that way at first.

Campbell released his top selections via Twitter recently, but made an error he later corrected. He hadn’t included LSU in the graphic he tweeted out, but sent out an additional tweet saying that it was a mistake.

Alabama, Florida State, Houston, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M and USC are in the running and did make it into the initial graphic.

LSU offensive line coach James Cregg has been recruiting Campbell hard, though many recruiting analysts are predicting that Campbell will remain in Texas to join Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns.

The 6-foot-5, 295-pounder is ranked as the No. 7 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 1 offensive guard in the country and No. 3 overall prospect in the state of Texas according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.

It doesn’t look like it’s going to be any easy task for the Tigers to bring Campbell to Baton Rouge, but he’d undoubtedly be a huge get and an asset to allowing whoever is taking the snaps at quarterback next season to succeed.
