New York Knicks rookie Obi Toppin will reportedly participate in the Slam Dunk Contest set to take place in Atlanta, Georgia, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the NBA opted to hold all of the All-Star festivities on Sunday, March 7. The Skills Challenge and 3-Point Contest will kick off the action, while the Slam Dunk Contest will take place at halftime of the All-Star Game.
Toppin is the first known player set to take part in the Slam Dunk Contest and was among the fan favorites to participate given his athleticism and high-flying ability.
