Tua Tagovailoa to serve as Grand Marshal for NASCAR race on Sunday

It has been a busy offseason thus far for Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. There’s been a slew of rumors regarding other quarterbacks such as Russell Wilson and Deshaun Watson that he’s had to tune out over the course of the past month or so, but between the media campaign that started on Super Bowl week, offseason training, some advertising deals and now the latest news, there’s been no shortage of appearances for Tagovailoa as of late.

And plenty to keep him busy.

The latest commitment is a bit unique, however, as it was revealed yesterday on FOX that Tagovailoa will be serving as the Grand Marshal for this weekend’s NASCAR race at Miami Homestead.

Tagovailoa will give the field of drivers the directive to start their engines on Sunday — so his role in the race will be a brief, albeit important, one.

The Dixie Vodka 400 begins at 3:30 PM EST and will be broadcast live on FOX (WSVN-TV, Miami/Ft. Lauderdale), MRN and Sirius XM NASCAR Radio, according to the Miami Homestead Speedway website.
