Yet again, the Boston Celtics hope to change their fortunes after losing a game on the road they probably should have won, facing the Dallas Mavericks on the road on Tuesday, Feb. 23. The Mavs have been struggling themselves this season, with injuries and uninspired play seeing both teams hovering around .500.
Dallas has also just dropped a game and five of their last 10, struggling to stay in the playoff picture in an especially competitive Western Conference race, where they are currently in 10th place with a 13 – 15 record. Boston finds itself in the East’s sixth-place position at 15 wins and losses each, and both teams should be motivated to improve on their respective situations.
