New NBA 2K ratings unkind to most Boston Celtics

There’s been a new update for NBA 2K ratings, and most of the Boston Celtics aren’t going to be too happy about it.

New NBA 2K ratings have just been updated, but don’t expect any Boston Celtics to be especially happy about it.

We’re not entirely sure which was the bigger snub — star forward Jaylen Brown’s rating staying the same, or All-NBA swing Jayson Tatum seeing his rating drop a point from 91 to 90. But in either case, it may well have as much to do with their  team’s ongoing struggles as much as it reflects on them as individual players in the popular video game series’ estimation. Starting Boston point guard Kemba Walker also saw his rating drop a point from 85 to 64, as did center Daniel Theis, who fell from 79 to 78.

Big man Tristan Thompson on the other hand saw his rating jump a point, from 76 to 77, as did forward Semi Ojeleye, who moved up from 72 to 73.

That pair were the only Celtics listed to see their ratings increase, lending credence that group struggles are impact individual evaluation — perhaps unfairly.
