LSU’s basketball game against Ole Miss postponed

For the second time this week, inclement weather has forced the postponement of LSU’s basketball game at Ole Miss.

For the second time this week, inclement weather has forced the postponement of LSU’s basketball game at Ole Miss.

The SEC announced the decision on Wednesday, postponing all three conference games scheduled for Thursday.

Earlier in the week, the SEC moved the LSU-Ole Miss game from Wednesday to Thursday due to the wintry weather in the region.

The SEC has not announced makeup dates for any of the three games at this time.

The Tigers were originally scheduled off this week after defeating Tennessee last Saturday. They were next scheduled to face Auburn this Saturday, but the SEC wanted to give the Tigers a makeup game after losing two conference games due to COVID-19.

LSU had games against Missouri and Florida postponed due to COVID-19 issues in those programs. While LSU had already played — and won — at Ole Miss this season, the league wanted to replace a road game the Tigers lost with another to have a balanced schedule.

The SEC is expected to reschedule the Florida-LSU game for March 6 in Baton Rouge.
