LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers continue their road trip on Tuesday night as they visit the Minnesota Timberwolves following a Sunday night loss to the Denver Nuggets. While LeBron James had a big game for the Lakers on Sunday, the night was ruined by the injury to Anthony Davis as well as the huge game from Nuggets center Nikola Jokic.
Jokic had 23 points on Sunday, almost all of them coming in the first half, as the Lakers fell behind early. While they were close for most of the first half, the injury to Davis ruined their chances of having a real competitor in Sunday night’s affair. LeBron James did not appear interested in trying to score and neither did the rest of the Lakers as they were unable to make Sunday night’s game competitive.
What awaits them on Tuesday is a Timberwolves team fresh off of a nice 116-112 win over the Toronto Raptors down in Tampa. The presence of Karl-Anthony Towns has lifted the Wolves as of late and if Towns can go, they should be in a strong position to pressure the Lakers.
