The Brooklyn Nets were on fire from the offensive end on Monday, leading to their 136-125 win over the Sacramento Kings. Kyrie Irving led the charge with 40 points on 15-for-22 shooting while James Harden knocked had 29 in yet another triple-double effort.
But, once again, Brooklyn’s superstars weren’t the only ones in double figures. They were joined by Jeff Green (13 points), Landry Shamet (13), Joe Harris (10), DeAndre Jordan (10) and Tyler Johnson
A big reason for the Nets’ success what their 3-point shooting. Irving was 9-for-11 from deep and Harden was 6-for-10 while Harris was 2-for-2 and Green was 3-for-6. Not long into the fourth quarter, the Nets knocked home their 25th 3-pointer of the game, breaking the previous franchise record set on April 7, 2018 against the Chicago Bulls — Brooklyn’s leading 3-point shooters in that game were Quincy Acy (six makes) Allen Crabbe (five) and Harris (four).
By the final buzzer, the Nets were 27-for-47 from deep, coming up two 3-pointers shy of tying the NBA record for 3-pointers in a game.
