The Philadelphia 76ers were heading into the final game of their 4-game road trip out on the West Coast not knowing if Joel Embiid would face the Utah Jazz. He was questionable for the game due to back tightness, but coach Doc Rivers said that he was all set to go in the game.
He was then listed as an official starter pregame, but the big fella is now a late scratch as he will now, in fact, miss the game on Monday night. The team will turn to Mike Scott to start in his place as they plan to go a little smaller against Rudy Gobert and the Jazz.

This means that the team might use Ben Simmons at the center spot which is something that the team has discussed in the past. They have a lot of versatility on the roster so there is a possibility of using Simmons at that spot.
On another note, Philadelphia is just 1-4 without Embiid so they will need to conjure up some help in order to get the win in this one against the team with the best record in the West.
