Ainge: Trades don’t always help, but it ‘may have to come to that’

The Celtics president took some of the blame for the team’s recent woes, and hinted trades may be on the table.

The Boston Celtics are a .500 team deep into a season they were supposed to be contenders, and fans and players alike are searching for answers on what went wrong as much as they are trying to brainstorm for answers on how best to fix it.

Team president Danny Ainge admitted a fair amount of the blame is on him in a recent interview with the Boston Globe’s Dan Shaughnessy, though he dismissed some might be the fault of head coach Brad Stevens. “I don’t think this has anything to do with coaching,” he explained to the senior Globe reporter.
