Josh Heupel was hired as Tennessee’s head coach on Jan. 27 after serving in the same capacity at UCF from 2018-20.
Heupel is in the process of assembling his first coaching staff at Tennessee.
Jack Taylor will serve as a graduate assistant working with tight ends on Heupel’s staff at Tennessee.
Taylor comes to Tennessee from UCF. From 2019-20, he served as a quality control specialist for UCF’s offense.
Taylor developed practice plans, team goals and improvement strategies working directly with Heupel, while leading the Knights’ scout team.
Taylor came to UCF from SMU. He served as an offensive quality control specialist in 2018.
Prior to SMU, Taylor was a student assistant at Missouri during the 2015 and 2016 seasons. Heupel served as Missouri’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach from 2016-17.
