It was mostly an otherwise forgettable evening, the wear of a long road trip, a lack of depth and lack of healthy bodies clearly taking their toll on the Boston Celtics focus.
But All-NBA small forward Jayson Tatum was — along with fellow star forward Jaylen Brown — one of the game’s few bright spots. The Duke product in particular had a noteworthy performance with 33 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists in 41 minutes of floor time. Tatum shot a solid 9-of-22 overall, 3-of-7 from beyond the arc, and got to the line 13 times, converting 12 of his attempts. While it didn’t produce a win, you couldn’t ask for much more from the St. Louis native — it’s clear this team needs some help.

Watch the video embedded above to see what Tatum unleashed in a doomed effort while we wait for a chance to right the ship — and hopefully, some reinforcements from within or without.
