Mock draft watch: Draft Wire’s latest 2-rounder bolsters the Browns defense

A playmaking safety and a defensive line reinforcement projected

The latest two-round 2021 NFL draft projection from Draft Wire and editor Luke Easterling came out this week. As is becoming almost the universal norm for the Browns in the first round, the choice went to the defensive side of the ball.

TCU safety Trevon Moehrig gets the nod at No. 26 to Cleveland. He’s becoming one of the more popular early projections for the Browns and it’s easy to see why. Moehrig is a playmaker with range and closing burst, and his eyes for the position are good, too.

The projection sticks to defense in the second round. This time it’s up front, with Iowa DT Daviyon Dixon getting the nod to help reinforce the Browns line.
